![]() In general you want the symbol and related attributes to fit the drawing and have the necessary information. I usually tweak them a little for the look want. The out of the box symbols have been pretty much the same for years. I don't suppose there is a one-size fits all type of symbol, but I am curious as to what others do when representing sensors? ![]() but then it gets kind of cluttered around the symbol when placing it on rungs. I've also played around with putting as much information as I can on one symbol i.e. Then you have to go to 2 or 3 different pages for 1 sensor, (something I don't like) I've tried making a photo-eye a parent symbol and placing it strictly on a power schematic while placing child contacts associated with it representing NO or NC contacts. So I figured I'd make my own, but that begged the question, is that standard to have to make your own pe switch symbol?Īre they going to update the original symbol ever?Īlso, I was looking for some ideas on how others have created their photo-eye symbols and any tips they may have for ladder style prints. However the symbol is not one I like to use, when terminal pin info is assigned to them it is very hard to read. Hi, I am using a ladder diagrams for my schematic and using the standard "Photo Switch" symbol in the icon menu.
